okay...i kinda went over board :) haha it just made me happier and filled with butterflies every time i saw one of these pictures:) thinking back to different days when i have been kissed:) its so funny how you think back to when you kiss someone so special in your life and think of all the fun times you've shared, the laughs, holding each other, telling stories, the jokes, and all teasing that went on. then you find yourself with the biggest and fattest smile on your face! and now your laughing at yourself because how goofy your acting... :) i love that feeling! and i always get it. whenever i think back. and when i think of the future too, to be honest:)

Another thing that i find funny is how girls talk about being kissed, or having been kissed. haha and then how we all end up so....cheery,merry,joyful,jolly,gleeful,carefree,untroubleddelightedsmiling,beaming,grinning,in good spirits,im a good moodlighthearted, pleased, contented, content, satisfiedgratifiedradiantsunnyblithejoyousbeatific, thrilledelatedexhilaratedecstaticblissful, overjoyedexultantrapturousin seventh heaven, walking on air, jumping for joy, chirpyover the moonon top of the worldtickled pinkon a highas happy as a clam ha you name it:) you see what you boys do to us girls!! crazy...haha :)

Me and my friend malia were actually talking about being kissed this week while eating lunch together...ha! i love that girl so much! she just makes me laugh and laugh, giving me the biggest stomach cramps and smile on my face! love you mia!

Whenever i think of kissing ha i always think of a line in movie SHE'S THE MAN. Viola: "no man...if you wanna kiss her...you go right ahead and you kiss her! i mean, knock yourself out. you just take her...then kiss her! then kiss the crap out of her! Duke: ha...okay? i love that movie:)

well i tried to post this two hours ago so it would be on the 10th...but i was to caught up in the pictures.. :)Just so you know yesterday was probably one of the happiest moments of my life, and i will cherish it forever! I wish i could tell you what happened, and what i was thinking, but...i think someone would be kinda shy;) haha. maybe another time:) but i loved every moment of it and i honestly have no words to describe it but just by smiling and giving a soft laugh, along with a whole lot of butterflies:)

Te Mana

For my first essay in my english class we had to write a narrative (story) about a turning point in your life and how you've changed. The two things that came to mine were some sort of family trial but everyone always does that, my second thought was rugby! I hope you enjoy it, and if there are mistakes, which there might be just don't try to notice it, okay:) ??

Enjoy.

“Seniors! Clap it up!” As all of our hands clap together in the same motion and beat the sound echoes across the field and seems to hit the mountain next to us. “SC!” We each take steps closer and closer together going along with the beat. “Ladies!” We all smile and look into each others eyes, burning with determination and such pride. “Rugby!” Huddled in a group so close together with our hands all raised towards the sky I can feel everyones racing hearts and their fast breathing from yelling. “Warriors on two! Warriors on two! One! Two! Warriors!” We all jump up and down with excitement, adrenaline rushing through us all. We all seemed to be glowing. The first Snow Canyon Girls Rugby team takes the field for the first time to battle for the state title.

BYU Rugby Camp - Us with the guys!

Rugby is not football and soccer combined. They have nothing in common and they certainly can not compare to the words Te Mana. This game is unlike any other sport I have ever seen, played, or felt. The game looks brutal and rough on the field but there is so much more within when it comes to this basic game. Around Snow Canyon High School, the words Te Mana is the very center of the rugby club program. Whenever someone sees those words, or hears those words, they know they’re meant for the Snow Canyon boys and girls rugby club. Te mana means the power, and in those two words so many things
come into play with not only the game of rugby but with our lives.

Fifteen girls against another fifteen girls who are willing to give up themselves for the game and for their teammates. A total of thirty girls all on one field that’s longer than a football field and wider than a soccer field who are all racing against the clock trying to make it down the field for a try, what you would call in football as a touchdown. The point system is fairly easy five points for a try, two for a complete kick, and three for a complete penalty kick. In rugby you can not pass forward at anytime, so having to pass and receive the ball is very crucial to the game since it is such a fast pace game and nonstop.

 Winning our first game!

There are two things I believe this game can not thrive without, support and timing. Having support is very important, and is what keeps people from getting injured. It is always a great feeling to know that while you have the ball and your running you can always depend on your team members to be right there with you running, pushing, and supporting you all the way down the field. Having good timing plays a big role in the game. You can’t miss a beat on a pass or when you are supporting a player and starting a play to run. On and off the pitch we as rugby players will always support one another in everyday life. I know for a fact that the girls team is truly like family, we are all sisters and we all care for, and love each others well being. We will always have each others backs, and will not degrade anyone who is on the team. I love my team with all of my heart. I have grown and learned form this experience as a leader, supporter, friend, and teacher.

The girls rugby game for the state title was the most heart wrenching games I have every been apart of. To this day I can not remember who I tackled, what plays I ran, the calls that were called, or the faces I saw. I can only remember the feelings and thoughts of the outcome of that game. Running up and down that field so many times my legs begin to shake. My arms and hands are shaking from holding myself up in rucks, trying to support my player underneath me. Shoulders colliding and smashing into each other. Cleats clawing and catching your skin as you go down to the ground. Bodies seem to be piling on top of each other over and over again and still the ball comes out flawlessly while thrown into the air to the back line. My lungs are resisting to burst from my chest. During scrums we all breath deep and slow, pushing and driving into each others shoulders and legs yelling to each other “Mana! Mana!” while trying to get possessions of the incoming ball being thrown in from the side by our scrum half.

Team night. Winning a game up north! Cleats in the Halls.

Time is suddenly slipping from underneath us all at once. I felt so rushed and angry with myself. I felt sloppy and weak, it almost seemed harder and harder to run and tackle the girl with the ball. When I did get the chance to hit someone I really hit her, hard. I would get up and do it again and again. Stopping them from reaching the line, sometimes it was enough, and other times it wasn’t. We never stopped trying, and were not going to give up without a fight. We as a team came so far, and we deserved every moment of it all to be at that game playing for the state title.

Hearing the roaring sounds from the bleachers with all the parents and the rest of the rugby teams in Utah cheering and chanting is something I will never forget. Hearing all the high pitched yells and screams from the Snow Canyon girls sideline gave me so much pride, peace, and drive. They yelled to us who were playing to never give up, the reminder to keep going, saying your doing great, it makes you just want to look over and see all their faces glowing from their smiles and smile right back at them and say the exact same thing.

SCHS Girls Rugby 2011

Unfortunately this wasn’t our time to shine, to take the title of the best, to have that big trophy, to wear those gold medals around our necks, to get that big ring on our finger, to rub it in all those faces who said we couldn’t or we wouldn’t be good enough. To be able to make our parents proud, to make our coaches proud and make it all worth their time and effort. For me as one of the captains and leaders for the team, wishing I made one of the best memories I could for my teammates. Trying to make a difference in their lives, make them see how important, beautiful, and strong they all are. To let them know that they can do anything in the world and nothing can bring them down. Giving my all for each and everyone of them, I wanted no disappointments. I wanted us all to shine and be winners.

Seniors
Juniors
Sophomores

And we were. We were shining, we did take the title of the best and everyone knew it, even the team we played. I don’t care about the trophy, ring, or a medal. Our heads were held up high, and that was our time. We proved what we can do, and we can prove it time and time again. We never gave up, and we will not back down. We are not scared of any challenge and no one will get in our way. We ran, bled, bruised, broke, hurt, sweat, laughed, and cried together. We are Snow Canyons Girls Rugby, and we will do, and we will be the best. We have the power, Te Mana. And the power we will keep, and cherish for the rest of our lives.

Placing Second in State for the 1st year.

Rugby can not be just like any other sport. Rugby is family, and it changes lives. For me I have thirty some sisters now, and I love them all. To see so many different girls come together and learn about each others lives and become friends when before they didn’t even know they existed within the school walls, they are now apart of the rugby family for life. Rugby is my life now, and I’m so grateful for it. In rugby there are no put downs, no single player who takes all the glory, no disrespect, and no separations within the team. We support, and encourage everyone to do their best they can be. Te Mana has a lot of meanings in rugby, and for everyone who plays rugby it can mean something different. Te Mana is the power of strength, overcoming challenges, knowledge, determination, family, love, support, friendship, and joy. Te Mana for life, and live for Te Mana. “Clap it up! We are SC! We are Ladies! We play Rugby! And we are Warriors!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

This is our year to shine.

September 5, 2011

homework, homework, and sleep.

Labor day weekend was really nice, and it gave me so much time to catch up on my homework. College is so easy and you have all the time in the work to do things but it's just so hard to actually sit down and do it...no one likes homework.

So this weekend my homework consisted of six math assignments, six math quizs, a math review (first test tomorrow..) writing an narrative for my english class, reading ten pages for my english class on narratives...so boring! Writing another essay on the foam dance on campus, and about club rush week on campus for my ssc class. In human development i have to do my take home test that's six pages long! read chapter two, do an infant/toddler observation. Study for a biology quiz tomorrow. AND.... finally, trying to understand my lib 1010 class that i have to take online? i have no idea what im doing? ha i really don't like classes like that. they are almost pointless, they have no meaning and it's a waste of time. One thing that i really don't like is how they put some classes online, ugh. they are horrible! i rather be in a class. On thing that i am excited for is the clubs that me and Malia loo signed up for during club rush! the d crew, hip hop, and multi cultural, haha and we can't forget our deca guy;) haha!

Sad thought really fast...so this last saturday i missed my first college football game...sad :( BUT i went to arizona and i supported my cousin riley at his wedding! i even did ashlyn (his bride) hair, and i was pretty proud:) Can i just say, i really like to travel, i've decided that my favorite thing to do is to just listen to my ipod and look our the window at all the landscape passing past me and looking at the sky above and to just think about life. what i need to be doing? how can i be better? missing someone, or somethings in life. thinking about challenges, hardships. the future. eight hours is a long time to think, or sleep:) the wedding was beautiful, she was, he was, i love weddings:) it kinda give you ideas for what you like and dislike about your future wedding you want to have. but it was a great wedding, ha kinda weird to think my cousin is married now...well all of them are now? weird. HA! and what was even more funny is how all my cousins, aunts, and uncles were asking about my future and was wonder when i will be married...ha no! im good for four and three more years:) im still a baby:) It was nice to see my family and to catch up on all their lives, my two cousins hailee and shari are both having babies and they have cute little baby bumps:) Hailee is having her first boy! im so excited for her:) Shari is just an amazing woman, her life to me is golden! cute house, adorable, children, and such a sweet husband. i want her life:) haha. I loved the weather in arizona, so warm still:) i love the heat, and sun! Well congrats to my cousin riley and ashlyn, i hope you guys have a wonderful life together! (pictures up soon)

always gotta doodle during school :)

Yup, college is pretty much great! honestly. i love college, i've been meeting so many people and just to be around mature people who are really focused is nice. so much better than high school! :) though i do miss seeing so high school peers, and i am lucky to see some still around dixie state campus:) One thing that i don't like so much is just having to work, im not working that much at all and i really should not complain but, it's just an old job and im getting so tired of it...it's just dragging on and on. But i have met some really nice people lately and it's kinda refreshing to see new and meet new people that have been hired. Just to name a few that have really made a difference to me and to make going to work worth while for me, thank you:) April - i love her! she's a newly wedd and is such a girly girl and just makes me laugh:) and she currently just quit to be with her hubby...understandable, but kinds depressing for me. Taylor holt gave it a little mix in the tuacahn concessions, ha but all the girls just love him haha. he's nice to talk to though. My brother nokoni is one, i love him! haha my manager jeff...haha you have to love that guy he's so funny, we all joke around with him and he jokes with us.

Shout out: Brooke Elizabeth Merrill. I LOVE YOU!!! :) i hope your having an amazing time up at SUU without me... :) haha. thanks for being my sister and always being there, i can always count on you and everything you do for me just makes me smile:) your the best! and i was thinking today and how you went up north for the weekend, we really really REALLY need to get tickets for general conference! and it would be really nice to do a skype date with ya sometime this week:) please, and thank you:) And fyi i gotta new phone, 215-8127 text me. We'll i miss you and i think about you er'day!

Bowlen mit einem Deutschen

A.k.a (going bowling with a german.) - (Tim im not racist:) haha) You all know Malia loo, and Mikey bishop from schs high school or rugby. They are very social people and most likely they know everyone:) i love them both! But the tall, blue eyed "guy" haha isn't form america. he is from german, cool huh! And he is now formally my newest friend:) His name is Tim Leonard Draub. Yeah don't try to say his last name, it's totally different when you actually say it in german...i can never pronounce it right...i need to work on my german...haha.

How I met Tim: my younger brother nokoni actually introduced us:) we were at a
football game and all the rugby players were being honored during half-time
(mostly the guys...) anyways i was talking to koni on the stairs and he just totally
interrupted me and tapped this guys shoulders in front of me and was like "Hey! tim
i want you to meet my sister shawnee." haha my face was probably so stupid and
confused about what just happened then, but i went with it:) we introduced ourselves
and shook hands! Since then we've kinda been inseparable? i think so:)

About Tim: ha....how to even explain Tim. Well he is not like any other guy i
have met i can tell you that:) and he is defiantly not form our little bubble here in saint
geezy, utah:) Tim is a very sweet, weird/amazing or incredible he calls it;) It is a lot
of fun being around him, just to see how different our worlds are and what he thinks
is funny or humorous to him. Sometimes haha we don't know how to react to
what he does because we've never had it happen before, or its just so random?
We just just sit there wide eyes, with mouths open, and laugh in
amazement haha:) We all love that kid though! He makes everyone smile
and laugh including me:) The past two weeks i've gotten to know tim a lot,
about his life, goals, interests, family, likes and dislikes, the list goes on
and on. It's been really nice to have someone to talk to lately to be honest.
Meeting Tim i'll have to admit was a little bit scary, and new for me. Just because
how different we are, with our moral standards, religion, and outlook on life. But
it was quiet interesting to listen to what he has to say, and to ask him questions.
And i really appreciated him listening to what i had to say and he accepted it,
not judgmental at all:) And what was even cooler is how interested
he seemed about it to or just how taken back. haha one thing he can't
seem to understand is how many kids i want, between six or eight. haha he
thinks thats ridiculous:) all i can say to that is yeah i guess, and just smile:)

So one night we all went bowling together, it was a lot of fun and i enjoyed myself:) We went to sunset bowling center, played some arcade games. Mikey taught me how to play pool while tim and mia sat and made fun of me, ha and i thought i did quiet good:) And just for your awareness me and tim kinda had a little competition that night, because a former night we played wii games and bowling just happened to be one of them we played, and beat him:) haha. So i was just teasing him, and saying lets see if you can do better with real bowling:)

Timmy getting ready for the big game.. :) and Mikey and Tim:)

haha i gotta just love this kid :)

Me with determination and Malia falling when bowling:) hahaha!

Michelle and Nichelle :)
Trying to get Tim to take pictures with me...ha didn't really work:)

 Final Scores - Timmy 78, Muck(me) 107, Hulahoney(mia) 68, Weise(Mikey) 127

so....i wont Tim...again :)

Tim trying to take a picture of himself...ha didn't work. But he can take pictures of other people:)

Thanks so much for all the fun, and laughs everyone, i love you all! :)
